San Antonio Express-News, REQUEST FOR BIDS San Antonio Marathon, Half Marathon & Health/Fitness Expo RFP San Antonio Sports is seeking a qualified production and/or management firm to produce an annual major national/international marathon, half marathon and associated health and fitness expo which may include other ancillary events such as a 10K foot race, bike race, etc. in downtown San Antonio. These services should provide San Antonio with international media exposure, attract local, regional, national and international runners and visitors during the Marathon that will result in incremental room nights, increased visitation, higher hotel occupancy and generate positive community relations. A contract awarded in response to this RFP will be for a five (5) year period for race events in 2016 through 2020 with an option for a two (2) year renewal period covering 2021 and 2022.
