It has a carved maple top, mahogany body, neck and head stock. It has one minor inperfection, One of the knobs are loose on the volume pots. These are a standard item that you can get on ebay. This guitar is very heavy so the sustain is very nice on it. I believe that it has a rosewood fretboard along wiht mother of pearl trapaziodal inlays. It has 24 frets which play clean all the way up the neck. The toggle switch, truss rod and all other electronics/ mechanical parts are in perfect working order. It has gold plated hardware including the standard les paul type humbucker pickups. A great guitar for collectors having treatments that are on much more expensive guitars. This would be an excellent guitar for beginners because the action is set very low and also has Earnie Ball slinky strings which takes a lot of the pain out of playing for newbies. The tone and quality of the sound is the greatest thing about this guitar. Played through a Marshall Amp, htis guitar sounds like ones used by Slash and Jimmy Page.
